Offers and Counteroffers
Once a carrier underwriter reviews the application, they may conclude that your client is ineligible for the policy for assorted reasons. Your client could have a health issue or something else that is a red flag for the underwriter. This does not mean your client cannot get a policy. It means they may receive a different version of the policy. This is what is referred to as an offer or counteroffer. The counteroffer policy is not a bad policy or bad for the client, simply different from what was expected. There is a process you will need to follow if you receive this notice. In this video you will learn what to do if this happens to your client and the options available to get the coverage they need.
